How do I unlock an account or reset a password?
SPECIAL NOTE: The function “Resetting Passwords” is used by Clinic Admin users.
If an account needs to be unlocked, or if a user has forgotten their password, the Clinic Admin is the only user group that can complete this request.
To unlock an account or to support a user who has forgotten their password, Clinic Admins simply need to reset the user password.
To reset a password:
- Click on "Users" from the left-hand side navigation buttons
- Search for the user in the search box
- Locate the user in the results list and click the drop-down arrow next to their name
- Select "Edit Profile"
- Click "Reset"
- You will see a message "Password will be reset upon save".
- Click "Save" to generate a new temporary password
- Scroll back to the Login Account section of the user's profile
- Click "Show" to view the new temporary password or "Print Instructions" to download or print
- Distribute the new temporary password to the user
