How do I unlock an account or reset a password?

SPECIAL NOTE: The function “Resetting Passwords” is used by Clinic Admin users.


If an account needs to be unlocked, or if a user has forgotten their password, the Clinic Admin is the only user group that can complete this request. 

To unlock an account or to support a user who has forgotten their password, Clinic Admins simply need to reset the user password. 

To reset a password:

  • Click on "Users" from the left-hand side navigation buttons
  • Search for the user in the search box
  • Locate the user in the results list and click the drop-down arrow next to their name
  • Select "Edit Profile"

  • Click "Reset"

  • You will see a message "Password will be reset upon save".
  • Click "Save" to generate a new temporary password
  • Scroll back to the Login Account section of the user's profile
  • Click "Show" to view the new temporary password or "Print Instructions" to download or print
  • Distribute the new temporary password to the user

Remember - temporary passwords expire after 7 days, so it's important to ask the user to login and set their permanent password as soon as possible.
